Amanda Michelle Seyfried (born December 3, 1985) is an American actress. She started acting at 15 years old. Her first roles were in TV soap operas like As the World Turns (1999–2001) and All My Children (2003). She became well-known after her first movie, the teen comedy Mean Girls (2004). She also gained fame for her roles in the TV shows Veronica Mars (2004–2006) and Big Love (2006–2011).
Seyfried has starred in many popular movies. These include Mamma Mia! (2008) and its sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018). She also appeared in Dear John (2010), Letters to Juliet (2010), and Les Misérables (2012).

Amanda Michelle Seyfried was born on December 3, 1985, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Ann, is an occupational therapist, and her father, Jack, is a pharmacist. She has an older sister, Jennifer, who is a musician.
Seyfried went to William Allen High School in Allentown. She graduated in 2003.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting Out (1996–2005)
While still in high school, Amanda Seyfried started modeling. She appeared in ads for clothing brands. She also appeared on the covers of some Sweet Valley High books. At 17, she stopped modeling and worked as a waitress. She also took singing lessons and trained with a Broadway coach.
Her acting career began with small roles. From 2000 to 2001, she played Lucy Montgomery on the TV show As the World Turns. From 2002 to 2003, she played Joni Stafford on All My Children.

In early 2016, Amanda Seyfried started a relationship with her co-star Thomas Sadoski. They got engaged in September 2016 and married in March 2017. They have two children, a daughter born in 2017 and a son born in 2020.
Seyfried is also on the board of INARA, which is a group that helps children wounded in war zones get medical care. They especially help refugee children from Syria.
