The Story of Scoob!
Ten years ago, a young and lonely boy named Shaggy found a talking stray dog. He named him Scooby-Doo. On Halloween night, Scooby and Shaggy met three other kids: Fred, Daphne, and Velma. They went into a haunted house and found a ghost. They caught the ghost and discovered it was just a thief in a costume. This fun adventure inspired them to form their own group, Mystery Inc., to solve mysteries together.
A New Mystery Begins
In the present day, Mystery Inc. has solved many cases. They meet with a businessman named Simon Cowell who wants to invest in their company. But he doesn't want Scooby and Shaggy to be part of the deal. Later that night, strange scorpion robots called Rottens chase Shaggy and Scooby at a bowling alley. Luckily, Dee Dee Skyes, Dynomutt, and the superhero Blue Falcon rescue them.
The Rottens belong to a bad guy named Dick Dastardly. He wants to capture Scooby. Dastardly needs Scooby for his plan to find three special skulls. These skulls are connected to the mystery of Cerberus, the three-headed ghost dog.
The Falcon Force Joins In
Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma find out that Shaggy and Scooby are working with The Falcon Force. Dastardly then captures Fred, Daphne, and Velma. They escape with help from one of the Rottens. They learn that Dastardly is taking them to Messick Mountain. This is where the last skull is hidden. The group discovers that Dastardly wants to open the gates to the Underworld. He hopes to rescue his dog, Muttley, who is trapped there. Dastardly needs Scooby to open the gates because Scooby is related to Alexander the Great's favorite dog, Peritas.
Scooby, Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and Dee Dee arrive at Messick Mountain. They go underground to a hidden island. There, they find the last skull guarded by Captain Caveman. Fred and Shaggy arrive, but it turns out Fred is Dastardly in disguise! He steals the last skull. Dastardly then throws the real Fred, Daphne, and Velma out of his airship. He also destroys the Falcon Fury. Dastardly captures Scooby and takes him to Athens. Shaggy gives an inspiring speech, and everyone works together to fix the Mystery Machine. They chase after Dastardly.
The Underworld Gates
In Athens, Dastardly uses the three skulls to open the gates to the Underworld. He tries to use Scooby's paw to unlock them. But Scooby's friends arrive in their flying Mystery Machine! The Rottens shoot them down. Dastardly releases Cerberus, but Dynomutt safely lands everyone. Scooby, Dastardly, and the people run from Cerberus. Scooby finds his friends. Dastardly happily reunites with Muttley in the Underworld and they steal some treasure.
Velma figures out more about Scooby's family history and its link to the Underworld. With help from the Rottens, Mystery Inc. and their friends trap Cerberus back in the Underworld. Shaggy bravely sacrifices himself to close the gate. This fulfills an old prophecy. But the gang finds another exit, and Scooby unlocks it. Shaggy is reunited with Scooby and the gang.
The Rottens turn against Dick Dastardly. It's revealed that he pretended to be Simon Cowell. He wanted to break up the gang and use Scooby for his evil plan. Dastardly and Muttley are arrested by The Falcon Force.
Back home at Venice Beach, the gang opens their new Mystery Inc. headquarters. They celebrate with The Falcon Force. The Falcon Force gives them an upgraded Mystery Machine. The team is ready to solve another mystery together!
