The Battle of Lewinsville
On September 11, 1861, a battle took place here called the Battle of Lewinsville. It was fought between soldiers from the Union Army and the Confederate Army.
During this fight, the Union Army had three soldiers who died and several who were injured. The Confederate Army, however, did not have any soldiers killed or wounded in this particular battle.
