Alexis Marie Nucklos-Allen (born October 2, 1967), known as Lexi Allen, is an American gospel singer, producer, actress, comedian, and TV personality. She also writes scripts.

Early Life and School Days
Alexis Marie Nucklos was born in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up singing in her grandfather's church. Lexi went to Bowsher High School in Toledo. After high school, she studied communications at Bowling Green State University. During her first year there, she won the Ms. Bronze Pageant. In 1989, she joined the Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
Lexi Allen's Career Journey
Lexi Allen started her music career singing backup for famous artists. These included Gerald LeVert, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Fred Hammond. Her first album, Call Her Lexi, came out in 1990. After this, she took a break from music. She focused on her studies and worked as a teacher.
A decade later, Lexi returned to singing. She married Michael Allen, a music producer. He helped manage her music career. During this time, she caught the attention of boxing champion Evander Holyfield. He had his own record label, Real Deal Records. Lexi signed with his label. She released several albums, including Lexi & That's the Way It Is (2002). Other albums were A Praise in the Valley (2004) and What Heaven Hears (2005).
Her 2004 album, A Praise in the Valley, was nominated for a Stellar Gospel Music Award. This is a big award in gospel music.

In 2006, Lexi became a familiar face on The Word Network. She hosts a show called "The Word Network Church with Lexi." She also hosted The Lexi Show. On this show, she interviewed many guests. Some famous names include Shirley Caesar and Carlton Pearson. The show took a break but returned in 2011 and again in 2015.
In 2012, Lexi signed with Malaco Music Group. She then released her album Phenomenal. Two songs from this album became popular hits. "Burn It All Down" reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. "Abide" reached number 14.
Lexi also appears on The Yolanda Adams Morning Show. She has a segment called "Inside Inspiration with Lexi." She is also very popular on YouTube. On her channel, she makes funny videos. These videos often talk about church life and African-American culture. She also creates parodies of well-known TV shows. Besides entertainment, Lexi also runs a business. It's called ALX Hair, and it sells hair extensions.

Lexi Allen was married to Michael Dwayne Allen. He passed away on October 5, 2004. Lexi has a son named Michael Alexander Osaze Allen.
