Li'l Horrors is a fun Australian children's TV show. It uses puppets to tell funny stories. The show first aired on the Seven Network in 2001. It had 52 episodes in total. Each episode was about 12 and a half minutes long. Often, two episodes were shown together in a 30-minute block.

What's the Show About?

Li'l Horrors takes place in a big, old, and spooky house. This house belongs to Morbidda Bates. She used to be a famous actress in horror movies. The show follows the exciting and sometimes silly adventures of little monster characters. These characters are based on famous horror figures. Think of characters like Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Mummy, and The Werewolf. Other characters include a Zombie, Quasimodo, Medusa, and even Gargoyles.

Meet the Characters!

Get ready to meet the unique and funny characters from Li'l Horrors:

  • Vladamir "Vlad" Bloode is a vampire. He is based on Dracula from old horror stories. Vlad loves to play tricks on the other Horrors. He is known for being a bit of a prankster.
  • Duncan Stein is like Frankenstein's monster. He is very friendly and loves to eat. But he can also be a bit clumsy and not very good at talking to others.
  • Cleo Patra is an Egyptian mummy. She talks in a very modern, "Valley Girl" style. This is funny because her namesake, Cleopatra, was an ancient queen.
  • Webster Swampson is a boy who looks like a sea monster. He is super smart and a bit of a nerd. The other Horrors often ask him for help. He usually invents something to solve their problems.
  • Abercrombie Necros is a zombie. He mostly just watches TV. If the TV breaks, he sometimes gets upset. He might even start repeating sounds from a broken TV signal.
  • Medusilla Venimski is a pretty monster. She is named after Medusa, a gorgon from Greek myths. Medusilla loves how beautiful she is. Unlike the myth, her beauty does not turn people to stone. Her hair can even talk in some episodes!
  • Claudia Howell is a werewolf girl. She acts a lot like a dog. For example, she might growl when she is angry. She is very sensitive if someone insults her. Vlad often plays tricks on her.
  • Quasi Modo is a funny version of Quasimodo. He is from the book The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He does not appear in every episode.
  • Garg is one of two gargoyle-like characters.
  • Goyle is Garg's constant friend and companion.
  • Bruce
  • Ratso Risotto
  • Humpfree
  • Morbidda Bates (also called "Miss Morbidda" by the Horrors) owns the house. You never see her in the show. But her voice talks to the Horrors in the opening of each episode.
