Li Yanfeng (simplified Chinese: 李艳凤; traditional Chinese: 李艷鳳; pinyin: Lǐ Yànfèng) is a talented athlete from China. She was born on May 15, 1979. Li Yanfeng is famous for her skills in the discus throw, which is a sport where athletes throw a heavy disc as far as they can. She made history by winning China's very first world title in discus throw.

Her best personal throw ever was 67.98 meters. She achieved this amazing distance in June 2011 in a place called Schönebeck. The record for China and Asia in discus throw is currently held by another athlete, Xiao Yanling, with a throw of 71.68 meters.

  • In 2002, she won her first gold medal at the Asian Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She also competed in the World Cup in Madrid, Spain, finishing 4th.
  • The year 2003 was also successful. She won a silver medal at the Universiade in Daegu, South Korea, and another gold medal at the Asian Championships in Manila, Philippines. She also took home a silver medal from the Afro-Asian Games in Hyderabad, India.
