Lil Italy is an American rapper whose real name is Clifton Ray Dixon. He started his music journey as G-Note in the California rap group Funk Mobb. This group was signed to E-40's record label, Sick Wid It Records, from 1994 to 1998. After Funk Mobb broke up, Lil Italy began his solo career.
In 1998, he joined No Limit Records and changed his stage name to Lil Italy. He released his first and only album with No Limit, called On Top of da World, in 1999. This album reached number 99 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 20 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Famous artists like Silkk the Shocker, Snoop Dogg, and Magic were featured on the album. However, Lil Italy soon left the label because the album did not sell as well as hoped.
Lil Italy's second album, Full Blown, came out in 2001. It was released by an independent label called K-Lou, but it did not appear on any music charts. After a break of ten years, he returned to music in 2011 with a new release called My Life. This album was only available as a digital download.
