Linda's Early Life and Music

Linda Bengtzing grew up in a small village called Gullspång in western Sweden. She released her first two songs in 1987 and 1989. After that, she took a break from the music world for about 15 years.

In 2004, Linda joined the TV show Fame Factory. At the same time, her song "Alla flickor" was chosen for Melodifestivalen 2005. This was a big surprise! She made it to the final round after getting enough votes in the 'Andra Chansen' (Second Chance) round. In the final, she finished in last place. However, her song "Alla flickor" became a hit, reaching number 8 on the Swedish music charts. A few months later, another song called "Diamanter" reached number 32.

Melodifestivalen Successes

Linda returned to Melodifestivalen 2006 with her song "Jag ljuger så bra." This song was originally written for another singer, Jessica Andersson. Linda's song did very well in its first round, placing in the top two and moving straight to the final. In the final, she came in seventh place. Even though she didn't win, "Jag ljuger så bra" became her biggest hit, reaching number 2 on the Swedish charts!

Just before the 2006 Melodifestivalen final, Linda released her first album, "Ingenting att förlora," which reached number 4 on the album charts. Later, a second song from the album, "Kan du se," also became popular, reaching number 7.

In 2007, Linda released a new song called "Värsta schlagern." This song was a fun parody, or a funny imitation, of traditional Melodifestivalen songs. She sang it as a duet with Markoolio.

Linda competed in Melodifestivalen 2008 and went straight to the final. She finished fifth with her song "Hur svårt kan det va?" (How hard can it be?). Her second album, "Vild & Galen," was released shortly after the final.

More Music and Melodifestivalen Appearances

In 2009, Linda recorded a song called "Victorious." This song was considered for Melodifestivalen 2010 but wasn't chosen. She later released it as a duet with her friend, the Swedish singer Velvet. The song became available online in 2010, and a music video for "Victorious" was filmed in Los Angeles.

Linda continued to participate in Melodifestivalen. In 2011, she sang "E de fel på mig?". In 2014, she tried to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with her song "Ta mig," but for the first time, she didn't make it to the final.

Two years later, she was back for Melodifestivalen 2016 with "Killer Girl." She finished last in her heat and didn't qualify for the next round.

Linda also entered "Alla mina sorger" into Melodifestivalen 2020. She performed it in her heat but finished sixth, so she didn't move on.

Her most recent appearance in the competition was with "Fyrfaldigt hurra!" at Melodifestivalen 2022. She performed this song in her heat and finished fifth, which meant she didn't make it to the final.
