Her Research Work

Linda Datcher Loury did important research on how people get jobs. She studied how social connections and information networks help people find work. She looked at how family and neighborhood ties affect job opportunities.

For example, she studied how a grandparent's education could affect their grandchildren. She also researched how long someone stays at a job. This was linked to the networks they used to find that job. Another study looked at how a mother's work affects her children's school success. Her research showed how important social connections are in the job market.
