The line of succession to the Danish throne is like a special list. It shows who will become the next King or Queen of Denmark if the current monarch steps down or passes away. It's a bit like a queue for the crown!

How the Rules Work
Since 2009, Denmark has a clear rule for who becomes the next King or Queen. It's called full or equal primogeniture. This fancy word just means that the oldest child of the King or Queen will be next in line, no matter if they are a boy or a girl. So, the first-born child always gets to follow their parent on the throne.

Here is the current order of who would become the next King or Queen of Denmark:
- Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, Count of Monpezat (He is the elder son of Queen Margrethe II)
- Prince Christian of Denmark, Count of Monpezat (He is the elder son of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary)
- Princess Isabella of Denmark, Countess of Monpezat (She is the elder daughter of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary)
- Prince Vincent of Denmark, Count of Monpezat (He is the younger son of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, and a twin)
