The line of succession to the Norwegian throne is a list of people who could become the next King or Queen of Norway. It shows the order in which members of the royal family would take the throne if the current monarch could no longer rule.

How a King or Queen is Chosen
Since 1990, Norway has a special law about who becomes the next ruler. This law says that the oldest child of the King or Queen will be the next monarch. It doesn't matter if the child is a boy or a girl. The first-born child always follows their parent on the throne. This rule is called "full primogeniture" or "equal primogeniture." It means the eldest child gets the crown.
Who is Next in Line for the Throne?
