History of Linn Valley
Linn Valley began in the 1970s. It was designed as a special community built around a lake. This type of community is called a planned community. Linn Valley officially became a city in 1998.
Geography of Linn Valley
Linn Valley covers a total area of about 3.21 square miles (8.32 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 2.96 square miles (7.66 square kilometers), is land. The remaining 0.25 square miles (0.65 square kilometers) is water, mainly from its central lake. Almost all of the city is part of a private community called Linn Valley Lakes.

In 2020, there were 956 people living in Linn Valley. There were 457 households and 299 families. Most residents, about 90.79%, were white. Other groups included black or African-American (1.46%), Native American (1.36%), and people of two or more races (5.13%). About 3.14% of the population was Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, Linn Valley had 804 people. There were 360 households and 255 families. The majority of residents, 96.1%, were White.
