History of Linn Valley

Linn Valley began in the 1970s. It was designed as a special community built around a lake. This type of community is called a planned community. Linn Valley officially became a city in 1998.

The remaining 0.25 square miles (0.65 square kilometers) is water, mainly from its central lake. Almost all of the city is part of a private community called Linn Valley Lakes.

In 2020, there were 956 people living in Linn Valley. There were 457 households and 299 families. Most residents, about 90.79%, were white.
