Linton Johnson III was born on June 13, 1980. He is an American basketball player. He is married to a woman from Caserta, Italy, and also has Italian citizenship. Linton Johnson is the nephew of another former NBA player, Mickey Johnson.

Playing Career
College Years
Linton Johnson played college basketball for four years at Tulane University. After finishing college, he started his professional career.
Starting in the NBA
In the 2003–04 season, Linton began playing in the NBA. He was not chosen in the draft, meaning he joined as a "free agent." He played 41 games for the Chicago Bulls, starting in 20 of them.
Over the years, he played for several other NBA teams. These included the Charlotte Bobcats, San Antonio Spurs, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, and the Phoenix Suns.
Moving Between Teams
In 2007–08, he signed a short 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns. When that contract ended, he signed another 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors. After that, he returned to the Suns.
In 2009, Linton Johnson joined the Chicago Bulls again for a second time. He signed two 10-day contracts before staying for the rest of the season. He later left the Bulls in July 2009. In September 2009, he signed with the Orlando Magic but was released in October.
Playing in Italy
In August 2010, Linton Johnson moved to Italy to play for the professional team Air Avellino. He played there until 2013.
After that, he joined Dinamo Sassari in July 2013. He left that team in January 2014 and then signed with Pallacanestro Varese the very next day.
In August 2014, he signed a one-year deal with another Italian team, Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia. He was released from Pistoia Basket in January 2015.
He continued his career in Italy, playing for Juvecaserta Basket in 2016. Later that year, he signed with Scafati Basket. In January 2017, he left Scafati and returned to Juvecaserta Basket. He has continued to play for various Italian teams since then, including San Nicola Basket Cedri, New Basket Caserta, and Basket Club Irpinia. As of 2021, he has been playing for Step Back Caiazzo.
