History of Holy Saviour-St. John Fisher School
Holy Saviour-St. John Fisher School in Linwood first opened its doors in September 1917. It served students from Linwood, Marcus Hook, and Upper Chichester Township.
The school moved to a new building in 1952. At one point, over 900 students attended the school. The building was expanded to have 16 classrooms.
The school's name changed to Holy Saviour-St. John Fisher School after St. John Fisher Church was built in Boothwyn in 1971. It welcomed students from Marcus Hook in 1974 and from Trainer after 1993. In 1998, more classrooms and a computer lab were added.
This school joined with St. Joseph Catholic School in 2012 to form Holy Family Regional Catholic School.
