Lisa Canning grew up in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She started her career in 1988 as a music director at a radio station called WKDA in Los Angeles. She also hosted a nightly talk show for the station called Campus Top Ten.
Lisa became well-known on television. From 1996 to 1999, she was a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, a popular show about movies and celebrities. She also co-hosted the first season of Dancing with the Stars, where celebrities team up with professional dancers to compete.
