Elisabeth Marie Haydon, known to many as Lisa Haydon Lalvani, is an Australian actress, TV presenter, and model. She is most famous for her work in Hindi films, also known as Bollywood movies.
Lisa started her acting journey in 2010 with a romantic comedy movie called Aisha. She became very well-known and received lots of praise for her role in the comedy-drama Queen. For this movie, she was even nominated for a big award called the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Later, Lisa also acted in the popular comedy Housefull 3 (2016) and had a small part in the romantic movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).

Early life
Lisa Haydon was born in Chennai, India. Her father is Indian (Tamil), and her mother is Australian. Her sister, Malika Haydon, is also a model and part of a DJ group. Lisa lived in Australia and the United States for some time before moving back to India in 2007.
Career
Modelling
When Lisa was 18, she wanted to become a yoga teacher. She also studied psychology. To help pay for her classes and rent, a friend suggested she try modelling. She began her modelling career in Australia.
In 2007, she moved to India to model, inspired by her sister. In India, she walked the ramp for big fashion events like Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. She also became the face of the beauty brand Lakmé. You might have seen her in commercials for brands like Hyundai and Myntra. In 2010, she even did a commercial with famous actor Hrithik Roshan.
Lisa was recognized as the best model and most stylish person at several awards, including the Cosmopolitan Fun and Fearless Awards 2009. In 2011, she was featured in the famous Kingfisher Calendar.
Fashion designer
Lisa Haydon also worked with a lifestyle brand called Sher Singh to create her own special clothing collection. This collection was inspired by her own global fashion style. On February 14, 2012, Sher Singh launched her spring collection online. The clothes were playful, with soft colors and lace details.
Lisa explained that her personal style is about putting together outfits she loves. The collection included elements from Indian fashion, like special buttons, embroidery, and fabrics. This was a unique step, as it was one of the first times an Indian model and actress designed her own clothing line internationally, similar to what famous celebrities like Kate Moss and Jennifer Lopez have done.
Films
Lisa Haydon was discovered by actor Anil Kapoor in a coffee shop. Soon after, she got a call for a role in the romantic comedy-drama Aisha. In this movie, she acted alongside Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol. The film was based on the novel Emma. Lisa played Aarti Menon, a professional woman from New York. To prepare for the role, she went to New York City for three months to learn acting and also took classes in Mumbai to improve her speaking.
In 2014, Lisa appeared in the movie Queen with Kangana Ranaut. She played Vijayalakshmi, a single mom. People really loved Lisa's acting in this movie. Critics said she gave a "class act" and was a "complete revelation." The movie was a big hit and made a lot of money. Her performance earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her next movie was The Shaukeens, released in 2014, where she starred with Akshay Kumar. This movie did okay at the box office. Lisa also had a role in Karan Johar's musical romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), which featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor.
Television
Lisa Haydon was the host and main judge for the first two seasons of India's Next Top Model on MTV India. This show helps new models start their careers. She was also seen in an online show called 'The Trip' on Bindass channel.
Personal life
Lisa Haydon married Dino Lalvani in October 2016. They have three children together: two sons born in 2017 and 2020, and a daughter born in 2021.
