Lithopolis is a small village located in the state of Ohio, USA. It is found in both Fairfield and Franklin counties. In 2020, about 2,134 people lived there.

History of Lithopolis
Lithopolis was first created in 1815 and was called Centerville. Later, its name was changed to Lithopolis. This new name comes from Greek words and means "stone city." The area was named this because there were many valuable stone deposits nearby. A post office has been open in Lithopolis since 1827.
