Where is Little Britain Located?

Little Britain is found in the southern part of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It sits right in the middle of Little Britain Township.

Getting Around Little Britain

Pennsylvania Route 272 (also called Nottingham Road) goes right through the center of the community. This road helps people travel to nearby places.

  • It goes northwest about 23 miles (37 km) to Lancaster, which is the main city of the county.
  • It goes southeast about 6 miles (10 km) to Nottingham in Chester County.

Waterways and Land in Little Britain

The Little Britain CDP covers about 1.45 square miles (3.8 square kilometers) of land. Only a tiny part, about 0.004 square miles (0.01 square kilometers), is water.

The community's water flows into different creeks.

  • Water drains west into Little Conowingo Creek. This creek then joins Conowingo Creek.
  • Water also flows south through Reynolds Run into Octoraro Creek.

Both Conowingo and Octoraro creeks flow southwest and eventually join the Susquehanna River in Maryland.
