The Little Chilliwack River is a small river located in Whatcom County, Washington. It is a branch of the larger Chilliwack River. This small river joins the Chilliwack River just south of the Canada–United States border.
The River's Journey
This river begins high up on a ridge. This ridge is found between the Little Chilliwack River and another stream called Silesia Creek. It is part of the beautiful North Cascades mountain range.
From its start, the river flows for a little over 7 miles (about 11 kilometers). It travels northeast until it meets the main Chilliwack River. This meeting point is across from a trail that leads up the Chilliwack. A smaller stream, called the Little Fork, also joins the Little Chilliwack River. This happens about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) before the Little Chilliwack River reaches its end.
Meet the Little Fork Branch
The Little Fork of the Little Chilliwack River has its own starting point. It begins at the base of Copper Mountain.
This branch also flows northeast for about 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles). It then merges with the main part of the Little Chilliwack River. This joining happens about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) upstream from where the Little Chilliwack River itself ends.
