Little Straggle Lake (also known as petit lac Straggle in French) is a beautiful lake located in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. It's part of a larger system of lakes and rivers that eventually flow into the famous Ottawa River.

This lake is a natural wonder, sitting high up at about 411 meters (that's over 1,300 feet!) above sea level. It covers an area of about 38.3 hectares, which is roughly the size of 70 football fields!

About Little Straggle Lake

Little Straggle Lake is found in the area of Dysart et al, which is a municipality in Central Ontario. This region is known for its many lakes and forests, making it a popular spot for nature lovers.

The lake is an important part of the Ottawa River drainage basin. A drainage basin is like a giant funnel where all the rain and melted snow from a specific area collect and flow into one main river or lake. For Little Straggle Lake, all its water eventually makes its way to the Ottawa River.

Water Flow and Connections

The main river that feeds Little Straggle Lake is called Straggle Creek. This creek flows into the lake from the south side. It's also the same creek that carries water out of the lake, leaving from the northwest side.

From Little Straggle Lake, the water in Straggle Creek goes on an amazing journey. It flows into Allen Creek, which then joins the York River. The York River then connects to the Madawaska River. Finally, the Madawaska River empties into the mighty Ottawa River. So, the water from Little Straggle Lake travels through several rivers before reaching one of Canada's major waterways!
