Liu Zhenhua (born July 1921 – died July 11, 2018) was an important general in China's army, the People's Liberation Army. He was also a diplomat, which means he represented China in other countries. He even served as China's ambassador to Albania.

Life of Liu Zhenhua

Liu Zhenhua was born in Tai'an, Shandong province, China, in July 1921. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1938. This was a very important step in his career.

Military Career

Liu Zhenhua was a brave soldier who fought in several major wars. He took part in the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Chinese Civil War, and the Korean War. He helped achieve important victories in battles like the Battle of Jinzhou and the Pingjin Campaign. These battles were against the Kuomintang forces.

In 1964, he was promoted to the rank of major general. This showed his skill and dedication in the army.

Diplomatic Role

From 1971 to 1976, Liu Zhenhua served as China's ambassador to Albania. As an ambassador, he worked to improve relations between China and other countries. For example, he helped establish official diplomatic ties between China and Greece on June 6, 1972. This was a significant achievement for China's foreign policy.

Later Military Leadership

After his time as an ambassador, Liu Zhenhua returned to military leadership. In March 1979, he became the deputy political commissar of the Shenyang Military Region. A political commissar is a leader who helps guide the army and ensure its goals are met.

He then became the main political commissar of the Shenyang Military Region in October 1982. Later, in 1987, he moved to the Beijing Military Region to serve as its political commissar until 1990. During his time in Beijing, he received the high rank of Shang Jiang (General) in 1988.
