Lodgepole is a small village in Cheyenne County, Nebraska, United States. It is located in the western part of Nebraska. In 2020, about 312 people lived there.

History of Lodgepole
Lodgepole was founded in 1867. This was when the Union Pacific Railroad built its tracks through the area. The village got its name from Lodgepole Creek. People believed that Native Americans used to cut trees near this creek. They used these trees to make poles for their homes, which were called lodges.
Geography and Climate
Lodgepole is a small village. It covers an area of about 0.48 square miles (1.24 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
Lodgepole's Climate
The weather in Lodgepole changes a lot throughout the year. Summers are usually hot, and winters can be very cold. The hottest temperature ever recorded was 112°F (44°C) in July. The coldest was -36°F (-38°C) in February.
The village gets about 17.55 inches (44.6 cm) of rain each year. Most of the rain falls in late spring and summer. It also gets about 27.9 inches (70.9 cm) of snow each year.
