Loganville is a small town, called a borough, located in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1820 and named after a famous person named Colonel Henry Logan. In 2020, about 1,427 people lived there. Loganville is part of the larger York–Hanover metropolitan area.

History of Loganville
Loganville was started in 1820 in the middle of Springfield Township. The land was measured by Robert Richie. Then, an auctioneer named Robert Wilson planned the town. He named it after Colonel Henry Logan. Colonel Logan was an important politician in the 1800s.
Early Days and Growth
Robert Wilson also opened the town's first post office. He ran it from his home and was the first postmaster. Later, Samuel Keyser took over the post office.
The first store in Loganville was run by Jacob Gipe. More stores opened later, owned by Frederick Asper, Paul Burbank, and Frederick Overmiller. Between 1830 and 1840, the town grew quite a bit. It started with one store, one hotel, and twelve houses. By 1840, it had twenty houses and ninety people living there.
Becoming a Borough
Loganville officially became a borough on April 2, 1852. This meant it could have its own local government. The first elected leaders included John F. Beck Sr. as the Chief Burgess. This is like a mayor for a borough. Other officials were Michael Snyder, John F. Beck, and Charles Overmiller. The first borough council members were Daniel Goodling, John Hildebrand, Adam Krout, Samuel Smith, and Frederick Venus.
Community Life and Music
On August 20, 1858, two musicians, Henry Decker and Henry Kerlinger, started the Loganville Cornet Band. A cornet is a type of brass instrument, like a small trumpet. Deterich Hildebrand was also one of the first members.
By 1880, the number of people living in Loganville had grown to 312. In the mid-1880s, the Logan Cornet Band became very popular. They had twenty members and bought new silver instruments. They even got their own concert hall for performances.
Early doctors in the community included George P. Yost, MD, and George W. Holtzapple, MD. Teachers in the public schools at that time included J. M. Bailey and E. B. Goodling.
