Lois Mai Chan (Chinese: 麥麟屏, July 30, 1934 – August 20, 2014) was a very important librarian, author, and professor. Lois Mai Chan was born in Taiwan on July 30, 1934. Her parents were Mai Wuzhi and Tuen-Mok Sau-Ng.
Her Education Journey
Lois Mai Chan loved learning. She earned her first degree in English from National Taiwan University. Later, she moved to the United States. There, she earned a Master of Arts degree from Florida State University. She then earned a Ph.D. degree in English literature from the University of Kentucky.
