Lommedalen is a quiet community located in a beautiful valley in Norway. It's part of the Bærum area in Akershus county. About 3,000 people live here. The valley starts near Bærums Verk and stretches about 5 kilometers north.

Lommedalen has a mix of forests, farms, and homes. Part of the large Krokskogen forest is here. The Lomma river flows right through the valley. A forest road from Lommedalen leads to Hole in Buskerud. An old pilgrim road, used in medieval times, also passed through Lommedalen. This path was reopened in 1997. It leads to Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim.
