Long Lake is a beautiful lake in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It's actually a wider part of the Englehart River. You can find it in the Timiskaming District.

This lake is quite long and narrow. It stretches out in a mostly straight line from the northwest to the southeast. It passes through several different areas, including parts of Gross, Blain, Sharpe, Truax, and Robillard Townships.

Exploring Long Lake

Long Lake is about 24 kilometers (or 15 miles) long. Imagine a lake that stretches for that many kilometers! It's a great place to explore the outdoors.

Communities Near the Lake

There are a few small communities located close to Long Lake. The community of Zeta is on the northeast side of the lake. Other nearby places include Mount MacDonald and Glenvale. The closest town to Long Lake is Charlton, which is a bit further down the Englehart River.

Protecting the Area

A special area called the Englehart River Fine Sand Plain and Waterway Provincial Park borders the northwestern part of Long Lake. Provincial Parks help protect nature. They keep the land and water safe for plants, animals, and people to enjoy.
