Loon Lake is a community in northern Alberta, Canada. It is home to a First Nations group. This community is part of the Loon Lake 235 Indian reserve.
Loon Lake is found on the eastern shore of a lake also called Loon Lake. It is located west of Highway 88. The land here is about 525 meters (1,722 feet) above sea level.
About the Community
The Loon Lake community is part of the larger Loon River First Nation. This First Nation group manages the reserve and its people. The area is located within a region known as Census Division No. 17 in Alberta.
