Deputy Lieutenants of Surrey
A deputy lieutenant of Surrey is someone who helps the Lord Lieutenant. They are chosen by the Lord Lieutenant to support their work in the county. There can be several deputy lieutenants at one time, depending on how many people live in the county. Their job doesn't end when a new Lord Lieutenant takes over, but they usually retire when they turn 75 years old.
