Lorella, which was once called Haynesville, is a small place in Klamath County, Oregon, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings that are part of the larger county, rather than having its own separate city government.

You can find Lorella located southeast of a town called Bonanza. It sits right along East Langell Valley Road. A river called the Lost River flows through the beautiful Langell Valley and passes close to Lorella.

What is Lorella?

Lorella is a small community in Oregon. It's not a big city or even a small town with its own mayor or city council. Instead, it's an unincorporated community. This means the people living there are governed by the county, which is Klamath County.

The community is situated in a scenic area. It's found in the southeastern part of Klamath County. The nearby Lost River is an important natural feature of the area.

A Look at Lorella's Past

Lorella wasn't always called Lorella. Before December 13, 1894, it was known as Haynesville. The name Lorella was chosen to honor a person who lived in the area.

A very important event for the community was the opening of a post office. This happened on August 3, 1887. A post office was a vital place back then, allowing people to send and receive letters and packages.

The first person to be in charge of the post office was Joseph K. Haynes. He was the first postmaster. The post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down in March 1930.
