Lori McCreary is a talented American film producer. She helps create movies and TV shows. She is the CEO of a company called Revelations Entertainment. She started this company with the famous actor Morgan Freeman. Their goal is to make entertainment that "reveals truth."

Early Life and Education
Lori McCreary grew up in a place called Antioch, California. She finished high school there in 1979.
After high school, Lori went to UCLA. She studied Computer Science and graduated in 1984. While she was still in college, she helped start a company. This company, called CompuLaw, made computer programs for legal work.
Becoming a Film Producer
Lori McCreary loved a play called Bopha!. This play made her want to work in movies. She wanted to help bring stories to life on screen.
In 1992, Lori met actor Morgan Freeman. He was going to direct a movie based on the Bopha! play. They met at Paramount Pictures.
Starting Revelations Entertainment
Lori McCreary and Morgan Freeman decided to work together. In 1996, they started their own company, Revelations Entertainment. Their company makes movies and TV shows that aim to "reveal truth." Lori is the CEO of Revelations.
She has produced many films. One movie she produced was The Magic of Belle Isle. It was directed by Rob Reiner. She also produced Invictus. This movie was directed by Clint Eastwood. In Invictus, Morgan Freeman played Nelson Mandela.
TV Shows and Other Projects
Lori McCreary is also an Executive Producer for popular TV shows. She works on CBS's hit series Madam Secretary. This show stars Téa Leoni.
She is also an Executive Producer for two popular series on NatGeo. These are The Story of God with Morgan Freeman and The Story of Us with Morgan Freeman. She also worked on Discovery Science's Through the Wormhole With Morgan Freeman.
Lori has produced other movies too. These include Thick as Thieves with Antonio Banderas. She also produced The Maiden Heist. This movie starred Christopher Walken and William H. Macy. Revelations Entertainment also helped make Along Came a Spider.
New Ways to Watch Movies
In 2005, Revelations Entertainment worked with Intel. They created a new digital entertainment company called ClickStar. ClickStar launched its website in 2006. It was one of the first websites where you could legally download a movie. You could even download a movie while it was still playing in theaters! One of the first movies available was 10 Items or Less.
Working with Other Producers
Lori McCreary is part of the Producers Guild of America (PGA). She is on their Board. She also started the PGA's Motion Picture Technology Committee. This group looks at new technologies for making movies. She is also a member of other important groups. These include The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). She is also part of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE).
The Hollywood Reporter magazine once featured Lori. They included her in their list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood.
