Love is a small community in Desoto County, Mississippi, United States. It is sometimes called Love's or Love's Station. This type of community is called an unincorporated community. This means it is not a city or town with its own local government.
Love is located about 6 miles (10 km) south of the town of Hernando, Mississippi. You can find it along U.S. Route 51 or Interstate 55.

History of Love
The community of Love was named after W.R. Love. He was an important doctor and farmer in the area.
In 1878, the community officially became a town called "Love's". This process is called being incorporated.
Love's Station and the Railroad
"Love's Station" was a stop for trains on the Illinois Central Railroad. This railway was built in the 1850s. It connected Memphis, Tennessee to Grenada, Mississippi.
In the early 1900s, Love was a busy place. It had a general store where people could buy supplies. There was also a post office for sending mail.
Love Today
Today, Love is mostly a farming area. You can find homes scattered along the roads nearby.
The community is home to the Love Cemetery and the Old Love Cemetery. The Love First Baptist Church is also located here. Not much is left of the original settlement.
Love Volunteer Fire Department
The Love Volunteer Fire Department helps keep the community safe. They protect about 40 square miles (104 km2) of southwest Desoto County.
The department also has a Junior Firefighter Program. This program works with the Boy Scouts. It teaches young people about firefighting and safety.

- Will Dockery – He was the founder of the Dockery Plantation. This was a large farm known for its cotton.
- Slim Love – He was a professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball.
