LoveRance, whose real name is Rance Love Oliver II, is an American rapper, record producer, and DJ. He was born on September 6, 1989. He comes from the San Francisco Bay Area in California.

LoveRance is most famous for his song "Up!" which came out in 2011. This song featured the famous rapper 50 Cent. "Up!" became very popular and reached the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. Before "Up!" became a hit, LoveRance joined a hip-hop group called the HBK Gang. The group's leader, Iamsu!, produced the song "Up!". After the success of "Up!", LoveRance signed with Interscope Records.

Music Career

The song "Up!" was first released on its own in May 2011. It quickly became popular online and in nightclubs. The song reached number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also hit number three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. On the Hot Rap Songs chart, it reached number two.

LoveRance was part of a group called The HBK Gang. "Up!" helped this group become well-known. It opened doors for other members of the group to get noticed too. The original version of "Up!" was produced by Iamsu!. He also sang on it with another group member, Skipper.

As "Up!" got more radio play, LoveRance signed with Interscope Records. This happened in late 2011. For the official release of the song as a single, 50 Cent replaced the original guest singers. The music video for "Up!" was put on LoveRance's Vevo account on January 31, 2012. The video shows scenes from the Bay Area and inside a nightclub.

The group's manager, Chioke "Stretch" McCoy, talked about the song's release. He said it was a "weird time" before music streaming was common. He knew how people listened to music was changing. LoveRance released his first mixtape, Freak of the Industry, in December 2012. It featured artists like Tyga, Problem, and Omarion. However, this mixtape and his later music did not become as popular as "Up!".
