Micheal Ray Stevenson (born November 19, 1989), known as Tyga, is an American rapper and singer. His stage name is a backronym for "Thank You God Always."
Tyga started his music career with independent releases. In 2008, he signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. This label is part of Cash Money Records and Republic Records.
His second album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King (2012), was a big success. It reached number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also earned a platinum award. It featured popular songs like "Rack City" and "Faded."
