Lucie Tondreau was born in 1959 or 1960. She is an American politician and an activist. She worked to help immigrants and improve communities. Lucie Tondreau made history as the first female mayor of North Miami, Florida. She was also the third mayor of Haitian-American background in that city.

Lucie Tondreau's Early Life and Activism
Lucie Tondreau was born in Haiti. When she was seven years old, in 1967, her family moved to Montreal, Canada. Later, in 1981, she moved to New York City. There, she became very involved in helping the Haitian community.
Moving to Miami and Community Work
In 1984, Lucie Tondreau moved to Miami, Florida. She continued her important work with the Haitian community. She helped the Haitian Refugee Center. She also served on the boards of several groups. These included the Haitian American Community of Dade County (HACAD). She also worked with the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. These roles showed her dedication to public service.
Starting a Business and Radio Career
In 1999, Lucie Tondreau started her own company. It was a public relations firm called Tondreau & Associates. A public relations firm helps people or organizations share their message. She also became a radio personality. This means she hosted or spoke on radio shows.
