Lucy went to Holy Child Killiney secondary school. Her first job was as a flight attendant for Cityjet. After that, she studied television presenting and production. In 2002, she worked as a researcher for an Irish TV show. She also helped with production for other shows like An Tuath Nua and A Scare at Bedtime. For a short time, she worked in sales for SPIN 1038 radio station.
Television Career

From April to May 2008, Lucy had her own show called Livin' with Lucy. The idea of the show was that she would live with celebrities for a weekend. Some of the famous people she stayed with included Brian McFadden and Calum Best. The show was shown on RTÉ2 on Monday nights. While staying with British TV star Jade Goody, Lucy was followed by photographers. She also had a memorable moment with Samantha Mumba.
