Luka Đorđević (born on July 9, 1994) is a professional footballer from Montenegro. He plays as a forward, which means he is usually one of the main players who tries to score goals. He currently plays for the club Karmiotissa in Cyprus.

Club Career Highlights

Luka Đorđević has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He started his journey in Montenegro and has since played in Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and Cyprus.

Playing for Zenit

Luka made his first appearance for the Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg on August 11, 2012. He came into the game as a substitute in the 83rd minute. Zenit won that match against Spartak Moskva with a score of 5–0.

Loan to Twente

In August 2013, Luka went on a loan to Twente, a club in the Netherlands. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. He scored his first goal for Twente in a friendly match on January 11, 2014.

Loan to Arsenal Tula

Luka played for Arsenal Tula on loan for two seasons. In October 2018, he helped his team win against Spartak Moscow, which was a big surprise because Spartak was expected to win. A few days later, he scored a very cool goal using a mid-air heel kick, which some people called a "scorpion" goal!

Moving to Lokomotiv Moscow

On August 12, 2019, Luka signed with another Russian club, Lokomotiv Moscow. He played there for a while before his contract ended in June 2021.

Another time at Arsenal Tula

Luka returned to FC Arsenal Tula on loan in October 2020. He stayed with them until the end of the 2020–21 season.

Playing in Denmark and Russia Again

After his time in Russia, Luka joined the Danish club Vejle BK in September 2021. He scored 6 goals in 26 games for them. In May 2022, he left the club when his contract finished.

In September 2022, Luka went back to Russia to play for Sochi. He even extended his contract with them in June 2023, but then left the club in January 2024.

New Adventures in Saudi Arabia and Cyprus

In February 2024, Luka signed with Abha in Saudi Arabia. Later that year, in September 2024, he joined his current club, Karmiotissa, in Cyprus.

International Career

Luka Đorđević also plays for his country, Montenegro. This means he represents his home country in international football matches against other nations.

He got his first chance to play for the senior national team in August 2012. He made his debut on September 11, 2012, against San Marino. What's amazing is that he scored a goal in his very first game for Montenegro! As of August 2020, he has played 11 games for his country and scored 1 goal.

Honors

Luka Đorđević has won some important titles with his teams:

  • Mogren
    • Montenegrin First League: 2010–11 (This means his team was the champion of the top league in Montenegro in that season.)
  • Zenit Saint Petersburg
    • Russian Super Cup: 2016 (This is a special match played between the winners of the Russian league and the Russian Cup.)
