Luka Đorđević (born on July 9, 1994) is a professional footballer from Montenegro. He plays as a forward, which means he is usually one of the players who tries to score goals for his team. Currently, he plays for Uzbekistan Super League club Sogdiana.

Club Career Highlights

Luka Đorđević has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He started his journey in Montenegro before moving to play in Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and Cyprus.

Early Career and Zenit

Luka began his professional career with Mogren in Montenegro. In 2012, he joined Zenit Saint Petersburg, a big club in Russia. He made his first appearance for Zenit on August 11, 2012, in a match where his team won 5–0 against Spartak Moskva.

Loan to Twente

In August 2013, Luka went on a one-season loan to Twente in the Netherlands. He scored his first goal for Twente in a friendly match in January 2014.

Loan to Arsenal Tula

Luka spent time on loan at FC Arsenal Tula in Russia. During the 2018–19 season, he rejoined Arsenal Tula for another loan spell. On October 21, 2018, he helped his team win a surprising 3–2 victory against Spartak Moscow by assisting a teammate's winning goal. A week later, on October 27, 2018, he scored a very cool goal using a mid-air heel kick, which some called a "scorpion" kick.

Lokomotiv Moscow

On August 12, 2019, Luka signed with FC Lokomotiv Moscow, another Russian club. He played for them until June 8, 2021, when his contract ended by agreement. During this time, he also had another loan spell back at FC Arsenal Tula from October 2020 to the end of the 2020–21 season.

Vejle Boldklub

In September 2021, Luka moved to Denmark to play for Vejle BK. He scored 6 goals in 26 games for the club. He left Vejle in May 2022 when his contract finished.

PFC Sochi

Luka returned to Russia in September 2022, signing with Sochi. He played for them for a couple of seasons, extending his contract in June 2023. He left Sochi in January 2024.

Abha Club

In February 2024, Luka moved to Saudi Arabia to play for Abha until the end of that season.

Karmiotissa FC

On September 11, 2024, Luka joined Cypriot First Division club Karmiotissa in Cyprus.

FC Sogdiana

Luka Đorđević currently plays for Sogdiana in Uzbekistan.

International Career

Luka Đorđević has also represented his home country, Montenegro, in international football.

He played in the Valeri Lobanovsky Memorial Tournament in 2012, where his team won silver medals. Luka received his first call-up to the senior Montenegro national football team in August 2012. He made his debut and scored his first goal for Montenegro on September 11, 2012, against San Marino.
