Luke Capewell, born on February 6, 1989, is an Australian professional rugby league player. He has played for several teams in the National Rugby League (NRL). Currently, he plays for the Ipswich Jets. Luke is known for playing in the "halves" (like a quarterback) or "three-quarters" (out wide). He was a very talented young player. He even represented the Australian Schoolboys and Queensland Under-17s teams.

Early Life and Junior Football
Luke Capewell grew up in Charleville. This is a small town in western Queensland, Australia. He played football there until he was 17 years old.
Winning the Foundation Cup
When Luke was in Under-12s, his school team won a big competition. They won the Queensland Foundation Cup. They played against a team from Murgon. The final game was held at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
Playing for Australian Schoolboys
Luke went to Redcliffe State High School. While there, he was chosen to play for the Australian Schoolboys. This was in 2006, a great achievement for a young player. Luke is also the cousin of another NRL player, Kurt Capewell. Kurt has played for the State of Origin team.
Professional Rugby League Career
Luke Capewell began his professional career in the National Rugby League (NRL). He played for several well-known teams.
Debut with South Sydney Rabbitohs
Luke made his first NRL appearance on June 1, 2008. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs against the St George-Illawarra Dragons. In this game, he played as a fullback. He even scored a try late in the second half.
Filling in for Key Players
In the 2010 NRL season, a teammate named John Sutton got injured. John was the team's five-eighth (a key attacking position). Luke Capewell was chosen to fill in for him. This showed how versatile and important he was to the team.
Moving to Gold Coast and Brisbane
In 2011, Luke played for the Gold Coast Titans. After that season, he signed with the Brisbane Broncos. He joined them for the 2012 NRL season.
Playing for Queensland Residents
In 2012, Luke was selected for the Queensland Residents team. This team is made up of top players from Queensland's local competitions.
Time with Penrith and Ipswich
Luke signed with the Penrith Panthers in the middle of 2013. However, he did not play for their main NRL team. Instead, he played for their feeder team, the Windsor Wolves. Later, in 2017, Luke joined the Queensland Cup team, the Ipswich Jets.
