Luke Capewell is an Australian rugby league player. He was born on February 6, 1989. He played for several teams in the National Rugby League (NRL). He usually played in positions like fullback, winger, or five-eighth. Luke was a very talented junior player. He even represented Australia as a schoolboy and Queensland when he was under 17. He currently plays for the Ipswich Jets.

Early Life and Junior Football
Luke Capewell grew up in Charleville, Queensland, a small town in western Queensland. He started playing football there when he was very young. He continued playing in Charleville until he was 17 years old.
Winning the Foundation Cup
When Luke was in Under-12s, his school team won a big competition. They won the Queensland Foundation Cup. They played against a team from Murgon, Queensland. The final game was held at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
Playing for Australian Schoolboys
Luke went to Redcliffe State High School. While he was there, he played for the Australian Schoolboys in 2006. This is a special team for the best school-aged players in Australia. Luke is also the cousin of another NRL player, Kurt Capewell. Kurt has also played for the State of Origin team.
Professional Rugby League Career
Luke Capewell made his first appearance in the National Rugby League (NRL) on June 1, 2008. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. His first game was against the St George-Illawarra Dragons. He played as a fullback in that game and even scored a try in the second half.
Time with the Rabbitohs
In 2010, a key player for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, John Sutton, got a shoulder injury. Luke Capewell was chosen to take his place as the team's five-eighth. This was during the Rabbitohs' season when they were trying to reach the finals.
Moving to Other Teams
In 2011, Luke played for the Gold Coast Titans. That year, the Titans finished last in the competition. After that season, he signed with the Brisbane Broncos for the 2012 NRL season.
Queensland Residents Representative
In 2012, Luke was selected to play for the Queensland Residents team. This team is made up of top players from Queensland who are not playing in the main NRL State of Origin team.
Later Career Moves
Luke Capewell joined the Penrith Panthers in the middle of the 2013 season. However, he did not get to play in the main first-grade team. Instead, he played for the Panthers' feeder team, the Windsor Wolves, for the rest of that season. In 2017, Luke joined the Queensland Cup team, the Ipswich Jets.
