Lulu is a small community located in Columbia County, Florida, in the United States. It is an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Lulu is situated along State Road 100, about 10.5 miles (17 kilometers) southeast of Lake City.
The Story of Lulu
How Lulu Got Its Name
The community of Lulu was officially recognized when a post office opened there in 1891. The name "Lulu" was chosen to honor the first postmaster's special someone, his love interest. This post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1976.
