The Lussier River got its name a long time ago, in 1808. A famous explorer named David Thompson named it. He named it after one of the men on his team. This man had lost his supplies in another river nearby, called the Moyie River.

The Lussier River starts its journey in a beautiful place called Top of the World Provincial Park. This park is known for its amazing mountain views.
