Lydia is a small community in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, in the United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one.
In 2020, about 892 people lived in Lydia. This number was a bit lower than in 2010, when 952 people lived there. Lydia is also part of the larger New Iberia area.

Lydia is located in the southern part of Louisiana. You can find it about 8 miles (13 km) southeast of New Iberia. New Iberia is the main town, or parish seat, for Iberia Parish.
Roads and Travel
U.S. Route 90 is a big four-lane highway that runs along the northern edge of Lydia. This highway makes it easy to travel to other cities. For example, you can drive northwest about 26 miles (42 km) to Lafayette. Or, you can head southeast about 41 miles (66 km) to Morgan City.
