Lynn Hilary is a talented singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Ireland. She was born on April 21, 1982. Many people know her as a featured singer with the famous all-female music group, Celtic Woman.

Lynn Hilary's Early Life
Lynn Hilary was born in Dublin, Ireland. She loved music from a young age. In 2005, she finished her music degree at the DIT College of Music.
Even though she first sang classical music, Lynn soon found her passion in Celtic music. She felt this style allowed her to use her natural singing voice best. Some of her biggest musical heroes include Michael Jackson, Joni Mitchell, and Karen Carpenter.
Lynn Hilary's Music Career
Singing with Anúna
Lynn Hilary joined the Irish singing group Anúna in the year 2000. With Anúna, she traveled to many places. She performed in the United States, Morocco, the Netherlands, and Finland.
Lynn sang on several of Anúna's albums. She was also a featured soloist on some of their songs. She even sang as a soloist for the soundtrack of the video game Diablo III.
Joining Celtic Woman
In 2007, a singer named Méav Ní Mhaolchatha left the popular group Celtic Woman. Lynn Hilary then joined the group. She was the first new full-time member since Celtic Woman started in 2004.
Lynn began touring with Celtic Woman on their "A New Journey" tour. She appeared on several of their albums, including Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey and Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart. She also performed in the "Songs from the Heart" TV special, filmed at Powerscourt House and Gardens.
Lynn left Celtic Woman in 2010 to spend more time at home in Ireland. However, she returned to the group for parts of their tours in 2014 and 2015. This was for the "Emerald" tour and the "Tenth Anniversary Tour."
Other Musical Projects
Lynn Hilary has also performed with Riverdance. She sang the main vocal for the song "Cloudsong" at the 2003 Special Olympics Opening Ceremony in Dublin. She also toured the United States with Riverdance in 2006.
In 2008, Lynn released her first solo album, called Take Me With You. Later, in 2013, she released her second album, Saturn Return. This album featured her own songs, which had a mix of jazz and folk styles.
Lynn has been part of other music groups too. She was in a trio called the Bluebelles and a group called Babylon Sisters. In 2016, she helped form a new group called CaraNua. This group also includes former Celtic Woman singer Alex Sharpe.
