The Magnetawan First Nation (which in Ojibwe is called Magnetawan Atik Anishnaabe) is a special community of Indigenous people in Ontario, Canada. They are part of the Ojibwe group. This community lives on their own land, known as a reserve, near a place called Britt, Ontario.

Where is Magnetawan No. 1?
The land where the Magnetawan First Nation lives is called Magnetawan No. 1. It is a special area set aside for them. This reserve is located about 6 kilometers (or about 4 miles) east of Georgian Bay. It is also south of the city of Sudbury in Ontario. The reserve covers an area of about 47 square kilometers. That's about the size of 4,700 soccer fields!
People and Language
The Magnetawan First Nation is home to many people. As of 2008/2009, there were 233 people officially registered as members of the band. About 92 of these members live right on the Magnetawan No. 1 reserve.
The traditional language of the Magnetawan First Nation is Ojibwe. This language is very important to their culture and history. However, most people in the community speak English in their daily lives.
