Maia Campbell is an American actress who used to be on TV. She is well-known for playing Nicole in the 1994 TV show South Central. She also played Tiffany Warren in the TV show In the House from 1995 to 1999.
Maia Campbell also appeared in the teen movie Trippin' in 1999. In 2000, she was in the TV movie Seventeen Again.

Early Life and Acting Career
Maia Campbell was born in Takoma Park, Maryland. Her mother was Bebe Moore Campbell, a famous author. Her father, Tiko Campbell, was an architect and author from Washington, D.C. Maia grew up in Los Angeles, California.
Maia became very famous for her role as the smart teenage daughter on the show In the House. She was often seen on television. Before In the House, she played Nicole in the TV show South Central. She was the girlfriend of a character played by Larenz Tate. She also had a guest role in the show Thea.
Maia had a small part in the movie Poetic Justice (1993). In this movie, she acted alongside Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur. In 1995, Maia also hosted a show for young adults called Twenty-four/Seven. She went to Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, for a short time.
Personal Journey and Health
In 1998, while working on In the House, Maia Campbell was diagnosed with a health condition that affects her mood. In 2000, Maia had a daughter named Elisha. For a time, she needed help caring for her daughter.
In 2009, a video of Maia was shared online. It showed her having a difficult time, and fans became worried. Her stepfather, Ellis Gordon Jr., shared a message with Essence magazine. He said that their family had been supporting Maia through her health challenges for a while. He also said they hoped she would accept the help offered to her.
In 2012, Maia spoke with inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant. She explained that in 2010, she had a difficult situation involving a small item and was sent to a place where she could get help for her health. She stayed there for about a year and a half. After that, she chose to move to another treatment center.
