Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a talented British actress and director. She first became known for her role as Rebekah Mikaelson in The Originals. She later gained wider fame for playing Kathy Freeman in The Undeclared War. Maisie also starred as Chloe Winthrop in the Netflix movies The Kissing Booth 2 and The Kissing Booth 3.
She played two different characters, Amaya Jiwe (Vixen) and Charlie, in the superhero series DC's Legends of Tomorrow. You might also have seen her as Korr Sella in the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Early life and education
Maisie Richardson-Sellers was born and grew up in London, England. Her mother, Joy Richardson, is Guyanese, and her father is British. Maisie comes from a family of actors who performed on stage.
She went to private schools with the help of financial aid and special awards. In 2013, Maisie graduated from Hertford College, which is part of the University of Oxford. She earned a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology. While at university, she acted in and directed several plays.
Acting career
After finishing university, Maisie Richardson-Sellers started trying out for acting roles. Her very first role was a small part as Korr Sella in the Star Wars movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Soon after, in 2014, she got her second role in The Originals. In this TV series, she played Rebekah Mikaelson. Later, she also played the character Eva Sinclair on the same show. The show's producer, Michael Narducci, said Maisie had an "incredibly strong sparkle" and "great inner beauty" in her acting.
In 2015, Maisie was cast in a main role for the ABC drama series Of Kings and Prophets. This show was filmed in South Africa.
Becoming a superhero
In 2016, Maisie Richardson-Sellers joined the cast of Legends of Tomorrow. She played Amaya Jiwe, also known as Vixen, a superhero with animal powers. Amaya Jiwe is the grandmother of the main character from the animated series Vixen. Maisie's own mother even appeared in two episodes of Legends of Tomorrow as an ancestor of Amaya.
After two seasons, Maisie took on a new role in Legends of Tomorrow. She played Charlie, a shapeshifter who could change her appearance. Maisie left Legends of Tomorrow in 2020 after the fifth season.
Directing and other roles
In 2018, Maisie started learning about directing by watching directors on the set of Legends of Tomorrow. She was accepted into the Warner Brother’s Directors Program. Later, she directed two episodes of Legends of Tomorrow herself.
In 2019, it was announced that Maisie Richardson-Sellers would star in The Kissing Booth 2 as Chloe. This movie was directed by Vince Marcello for Netflix. She then returned for the sequel, The Kissing Booth 3, in 2021.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers also started her own production company called ‘Barefaced Productions’. This company aims to share stories and give a voice to people and groups who are often not heard. In 2021, she co-wrote and directed a short film called ‘Sunday’s Child’. This film received good reviews from many film festivals.
In 2022, Maisie starred in the political drama The Undeclared War. She acted alongside famous actors like Mark Rylance and Simon Pegg. In 2023, it was announced that Maisie Richardson-Sellers would be in the second season of ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’. She will star with Nicole Kidman and other well-known actors.
Personal life
In 2017, Maisie Richardson-Sellers worked with her co-stars from the Arrowverse shows to create Shethority. This is an online group for women. It is described as "a positive place for women and the feminine to inspire, empower, and share." Many other actresses are active members of this group.
