Maite Coromoto Delgado de Mora (born September 20, 1966) is a famous Venezuelan TV host and former beauty queen. Many people call her Venezuela's "Oprah" because she is so popular. She is especially known for hosting the Miss Venezuela pageant for many years. Her own TV show, Maite, was shown in the United States for four years. In 2000, E! Entertainment Television named her the Latina celebrity of the year.

Maite Delgado's Early Life and Career
Maite Delgado was born on September 20, 1966, in Valle de Guanape, Anzoátegui, Venezuela.
In 1986, she started her career by joining the Miss Venezuela contest. She placed as the 2nd runner-up. In the same year, she won the title of Miss Tourism International in Santo Domingo, representing Venezuela.
Starting Her TV Journey
Maite began her TV career as a co-host on the morning show Complicidades on Venevisión. This was the start of a long and successful journey in television. She appeared in many family-friendly TV shows like Circo Cómplice and País de Caramelo. She also helped with charity telethons, which are TV events that raise money for good causes. These included Unidos contra el Cáncer (United Against Cancer) and La Sonrisa de un niño sano (The Smile of a Healthy Child).
She also acted in TV comedies, such as ¡Qué Chicas!. Maite started to host international events too. She presented Señorita México in 1988 and Miss Hispanidad in Miami in 1991. She also hosted the Festival Internacional de Viña del Mar in Chile in 1996. From 1992, she hosted Giros TV, another morning show, for four years.
Family Life
On October 22, 1994, Maite married the tennis player Alfonso Mora. Her brother-in-law is the American TV news anchor Antonio Mora.

In 1997, Maite started her own talk show called Maite. This show was broadcast daily across the U.S., Central America, and South America. She interviewed many famous Hispanic stars, including Juan Gabriel, Thalía, Ricky Martin, and Shakira. She was known for her unique style and friendly personality.
Hosting Miss Venezuela
From 1997 to 2010, Maite was the main host of the Miss Venezuela Contest. This made her a very well-known face in Venezuela.
Awards and Recognition
In 2000, E! Entertainment Television named her the "Celebrity of the year." This award had also been given to other famous artists like Ricky Martin and Thalía.
In 2002, she hosted Por la Puerta Grande (Through the Big Door), an interview show with famous people on Univision. In the same year, she presented ¿Qué dice la gente? (What Do People Say?), which was the Venezuelan version of the popular game show Family Feud. She was the first woman to host this successful show in Venezuela.
In June 2003, Maite won The INTE award for being the best Hispanic female TV presenter. She was also chosen by Univision.Com users as one of the best-dressed women at the Premios Lo Nuestro awards in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
In 2005, she started a new TV game show called Todo por Venezuela. This show tested people's knowledge about Venezuelan culture. She also hosted Te llegó la Suerte (Your Luck Has Arrived) for Telefutura.

In 2007, a survey showed that people in Venezuela trusted Maite the most. Her image was used by many important brands in Venezuela, like Plumrose and Mitsubishi.
In August 2010, she won the QUETZAL Award in Mexico. This award recognized her as the Venezuelan TV female presenter of the year. UNICEF has also made her an ambassador because of her charity work.
In 2009, Maite hosted a special Latin Grammy event in Las Vegas. This event honored the Mexican music legend Juan Gabriel. In 2010, she started working on the radio, sharing messages about being a good citizen.
In August 2010, the magazine Estampas chose her to be the editor for their 75th-anniversary edition. She even got an exclusive interview with Juan Gabriel for this special issue.
In 2011, Maite left Venevisión after 25 years, but she returned to the channel in 2013. In 2016, she moved to the island of Aruba.
