The church's story began on July 13, 1834. This is when the first church, known as Vengalasserry Pally, was established. It served the local Christian community for many years.
Mallappally Mar Thoma Church
Later, a new and larger church building was constructed. This new building, which is the current Mallappally Mar Thoma Church, was completed and opened on March 25, 1965. It continues to be an important place of worship for about 250 families today.
