Mallory Lewis (born July 8, 1962) is an American writer, television producer, ventriloquist, and puppeteer. She is famous for bringing Lamb Chop to life. Lamb Chop is a fun sock puppet created by Mallory's mother, Shari Lewis.

Early Life and Lamb Chop

Mallory's Career Journey

Mallory Lewis has had an exciting career. She followed in her mother's footsteps, bringing joy to many people.

Working with Her Mother

Mallory worked closely with her mother, Shari Lewis. They produced popular TV shows together. These shows included Lamb Chop's Play-Along and The Charlie Horse Music Pizza. Her father, Jeremy Tarcher, also helped with Shari Lewis's shows on PBS.

Keeping Lamb Chop Alive

After her mother passed away in 1998, Mallory made an important decision. With encouragement from family and friends, she decided that Lamb Chop should continue to entertain fans. In 2009, Mallory started performing with Lamb Chop herself. To honor her mother, she changed her last name to Lewis.

Mallory found she could do Lamb Chop's voice perfectly. She discovered she could make the puppet "talk" without moving her own lips. This is a special skill called ventriloquism. Lamb Chop is known for being a bit "sassy," but always remembers to say "please" and "thank you"!
