The Charlie Horse Music Pizza was a fun American children's TV show. It aired on PBS in the United States from January 5, 1998, to January 17, 1999. You could still catch reruns until December 29, 2000, and later on PBJ until 2016.
This show was a spin-off from another popular series, Lamb Chop's Play-Along!. It was hosted by the amazing Shari Lewis. Shari strongly believed that music education was super important for kids. This belief led her to create The Charlie Horse Music Pizza. Just like Lamb Chop's Play-Along, this show was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Charlie Horse Music Pizza was Shari Lewis's last big project.

Why the Show Ended
After Lamb Chop's Play-Along! finished, Shari Lewis and her husband Jeremy wanted to create a new show. They noticed that many schools were cutting music classes. So, they decided to make The Charlie Horse Music Pizza to help kids learn about music in a fun way.
Sadly, Shari Lewis became very ill. Because of her illness, the show had to pause production on June 18, 1998. Shari Lewis passed away on August 2, 1998. After her passing, The Charlie Horse Music Pizza was canceled. The very last episode aired on January 17, 1999.
