Emmanuel Feildel (born 26 March 1974) is a famous French-Australian chef. He is also a restaurateur and television presenter. Manu is best known as one of the judges on the popular TV cooking show My Kitchen Rules.
Before becoming a TV star, Manu was the head chef at a well-known restaurant called Bilson's. Later, he opened his own restaurant, Manu at L'Étoile.

Manu's Early Life
Manu Feildel comes from a family of professional chefs. Both his father and grandfather were chefs. However, Manu decided to try something different first.
When he was 13, he joined a circus school. There, he learned cool skills like juggling, riding a unicycle, and being a clown. He even learned some acrobatics! After three years, Manu decided that cooking was his true passion. He then moved to London to study cooking at the famous Cafe Royal restaurant. He worked in several other restaurants there too.
Manu's Career in Australia and TV
Manu moved to Australia in 1999. He worked in different restaurants for several years. Then, he became the head chef at Bilson's. He was known for his modern French cuisine there. Many people say he helped Bilson's become a very successful restaurant.
His TV career began in 2006 on Ready Steady Cook. In 2009, he appeared on MasterChef Australia. Since 2010, Manu has been a co-host and judge on My Kitchen Rules. This show made him very famous.
In 2011, Manu won Dancing with the Stars. He also hosted a dating show called Dinner Date in 2011.
After his Sydney restaurant closed, Manu opened a new one in Melbourne. It was called Le Grand Cirque. This restaurant closed after only four months.
In 2014, Manu hosted a two-part TV show called My France with Manu. In this show, he traveled through western France. He showed viewers local food, beautiful scenery, and shared his memories of France.
In 2019, Manu became a judge on Australia's Got Talent. The next year, he joined former MasterChef judges Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston. They started a new cooking show together called Plate of Origin.
Helping the Community

In March 2013, he walked the Kokoda Track. This was to raise money for CanTeen. CanTeen is an Australian group that helps young people living with cancer. Each person on the trek donated $5,000 to join.
Manu is also an ambassador for Camp Quality. This charity helps children and families affected by cancer. Their motto is "laughter is the best medicine."
Supporting Cancer Research
In 2019, Manu took part in the ANZUP Cancer Trials Group's Rude Food campaign. This campaign helps raise awareness for cancer research.
In 2020, Manu became a "Below the Belt Ambassador" for ANZUP. He joined their #YourWay Challenge. He rode his bicycle 854 kilometers and raised $987 for cancer research.
In 2021, Manu appeared on Dancing with the Stars again. He announced that his chosen charity was ANZUP Cancer Trials Group.
Manu's Family Life
Manu Feildel has a son named Jonti from a previous relationship.
In November 2013, Manu got engaged to Clarissa Weerasena. They married in January 2018. They have a daughter together named Charlee, who was born in 2015. Clarissa is also a cook and appears on the TV program Better Homes and Gardens.
